Outduro Pathfinder
Past Event
OUTDURO Pathfinder is a 40-hour nonstop challenge for teams of 2 to 3 people, where participants must plan their own route, find checkpoints, and make decisions about riding and rest along the way.
REGISTRATION AND START
Teams arrive at the start location fully prepared — with riding and sleeping gear, tools, medical supplies, and everything needed for self-sufficient participation.
During registration, participants:
-
receive a team number
-
receive GPS trackers
-
receive a GPX file with checkpoints
-
attend a briefing about the event and rules
The start order is determined by a draw, with a 2-minute interval between teams.
Start time: 20:00.
40-HOUR OFF-ROAD CHALLENGE
After the start, teams head out into the terrain and independently plan their route, searching for legal access roads to the checkpoints.
-
Arrival at a checkpoint is confirmed via GPS
-
Each confirmed checkpoint counts toward the final score
-
Checkpoints are marked on the map with different difficulty levels
Teams independently:
-
decide when to ride and when to rest
-
solve technical issues
-
manage their energy and resources throughout the entire challenge
FINISH AND AWARD CEREMONY
Teams return to the start location and finish when:
-
the competition time has expired, or
-
all available points have been collected
The winning team is the one that collects the most points within the allotted time, with shorter total time used as a tiebreaker.
At the award ceremony, the winning team:
-
receives prizes from sponsors
-
earns the OUTDURO Pathfinder trophy, displayed in the hall of fame at OUTDURO HQ
-
receives the unique green OUTDURO Champion mugs
